Permanent Full-Time Technician
Hôpital Notre-Dame Hospital (Hearst) has a medium-size network with interconnectivity to other healthcare providers and eHealth services. Our clients include all hospital staff and physicians as well as other local healthcare partners and external agencies we serve, which will involve travel. This is a fast-paced IT environment where services are provided for all technical aspects of the hospital, including support for medical devices.
The selected candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and advanced experience:
- Experience and ability to administer, troubleshoot and support networks (LAN/WAN/WiFi), workstations, servers, backups and virtualized environment.
- Experience with enterprise technologies such as Windows AD, DNS, DHCP, SQL.
- Experience with firewalls and ensuring adherence to cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to support and manage VOIP telephone systems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent customer service abilities.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Strong logical and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrate positive work history and good attendance record.
Qualifications
- A diploma or degree in Computer Science/Information Technology with 4 years of the above experience in a multifaceted environment.
- Ability to communicate fluently in both French and English.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Availability for on-call after-hours coverage on a rotation basis.
- COVID 19 Immunizations (3 doses).
